Turning Your System Off: There are three ways to turn your sprinkler system off. The first is at your controller, just turn the dial to the "OFF" position. If your system is still running after you set the controller to "OFF" there is a mechanical problem with your system andyou will have to manually turn the water off at the PVB or Isolation valve.

The second way to turn your system off is at the PVB. The PVB is usually located where the water line goes into the house or near your water meter. To turn the wate off at the PVB you must rotate either handle clockwise. Your PVB handles will only turn 1/4 turn. If your handle is making a cross with the pipe that it is on you have successfully turned it off.

The third way to turn the system off is at the Isolation Valve/Emergency Cut Off. The Isolation Valve is usually located near your PVB or water meter and may be difficult to see if the grass has grown over it. They are located in a green valve box that is usually level with the ground. If you open the lid you will see a ball valve, turn the handle clockwise 1/4 of a turn.
My System Keeps Running When It's Not Supposed To: If one zone of your sprinkler system stays on after the scheduled shut down time, most of the time you have a mechanical problem and you will need to turn water off at either the PVB or the Isolation Valve until the problem can be fixed. Please see "How To Turn Your System Off" above.
If your whole system cycles through the program and then keeps running and cycles through the whole system all over again, most likely there was an error in setting up your watering schedule at the controller. In most cases this is an easy fix. Go to your controller and turn the dial to "Program Start Times", there will be a Start Time 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. You should only have a start time in "Start Time 1". Now move down to "Start Time 2" and scroll to off (which is usually between the time 11:45-12:00) after you have done that repeat the same step with "Start Time 3, 4 etc" When you are done and have only a start time in "Start Time 1" then turn your dial back to "Run.".
Nothing Is Working: If your system is not working the first thing you should do is check your controller. If your conroller appears to be operating but no water comes out at the sprinkler heads, most likely your rain sensor may have the sysem off, someone has turned the PVB or Isolation Valve off or you may have a wire cut.
