Root Barriers

Root Barriers are designed to prevent Tree and Shrub roots from laterally moving toward the Foundation of a building.  The barriers themselves are made of corrugated fiberglass and are installed to a depth of 24 inches.  All roots in the plane of the Barrier will be cut to the outer edge of the Barrier.  The Corrigations of the Barrier act as passive turning devices for the new hair roots that will emerge from the root on the tree side of the Barrier.  This turning of the new root structure minimizes future problems.
