Residential/Commercial

Design Objective

To meet/exceed all state & local code requirements. In addition, utilize your investment to achieve the “BEST VALUE” for your dollars spent. FISCHER IRRIGATION is a Hunter “GOLD Preferred Contractor” with over 20 years of experience designing and installing Sprinkler Systems.

Key Design Features

  • Strict tolerance to head spacing, this ensures better coverage & a higher precipitation rate.
  • Use of HUNTER flow control valves. This enables proper nozzle pressure which, decreases water loss due to evaporation and ensures proper coverage.
  • Zoning based on; exposure, soil, and plant type, to eliminate “feast famine syndrome.”
  • We use 4”, 6” and 12” pop ups, to eliminate risers, (“sticks with nozzles), for aesthetic purposes when system is not running and to maintain coverage after plant growth occurs.
  • Infield Valve wiring is all 16 gauge, solid copper, UF rated, either buried or in conduit (NO EXPOSED WIRE).
  • Sod Cutting and additional time and care in the final cleanup. Use of surfactant on all trenches and disturbed grass to minimize shock and expedite recovery of grass.
  • Main line Sch 40 PVC.
  • 8”-12” main trench depth.
  • Rotors installed on square spacing (head to head) app. .6 in/hr precipitation rate.
  • Sprays installed on square spacing (head to head) or, triangular spacing (distance shortened to .86 Radius) appx. 1.5 + in/hr precipitation rate.

Components

  • We used premium components with advanced features.
  • Hunter Pro Series Sprays w/heavy duty case, interchangeable nozzles and replaceable seal.
  • Hunter Pro Series Controller (expandable to 15 zones,) rain sensor recognition with bypass, non-volatile 100 year memory (NO BATTERY required), three independent programs w/4 starts @, with even/odd, day of week or Interval day scheduling, metal oxide varister for superior surge protection. Remote ready.
  • Hunter SRV Valves with Flow Control for proper nozzle pressuring.
  • Brass, pressured vacuum breaker insulated & taped w/UV resistant tape.
  • Isolation valve w/access box.

Serviceability

  • Each valve is isolated in its own valve box, with expansion coils for quicker, easier service access and testing.
  • Trained/Experienced service crew ( 2-men ) and 8am to 5pm service desk for immediate service scheduling, w/24 hr. LIVE answering service.
